Brief description:
Eighth EIAT conference, on which the main discussion will be on Biodiversity, Carbon Netural Tourism and Local Economic Development, will be held on 18th and 19th November 2016, in the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Conference is organized by the Center for Tourism Research and Studies, with the support of the Government of the Autonomus Province of Vojvodina, Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Feutch für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Central European Initiative and the City of Subotica.
The aim of the conference is to raise awareness about the diversification of rural economics trough development of carbon netural tourism and finding solution to the sustainability of protected areas in the region of Central Europe.
This is supported by the fact that the 2017 United Nations declared the International Year of Sustainable Tourism Development, witch is of great importance in the light of new Agenda 2030 and the goals of sustainable development.
