The amateur digger was looking for gold with the help of a metal detector and the nugget, the first of its kind to ever be found in that area, was only 60 centimeters underground.

One of the local dealers says that a nugget weighing over 3 kg has never been found on this territory. According to current market rates, this gold nugget is worth about USD 315,000.
