40th EMAC Conference

EMACThe European Marketing Academy – EMAC is a professional society for people involved or interested in marketing theory and research. Its aims are to serve as the core of a communication network for disseminating information and promoting international exchange in the field of marketing.

EMAC is organized an Annual Conference, hosted by major universities and scientific institutes all over Europe. On conference was attended by about 800 delegates. The Conference was held from 24th to 27th May 2011, at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana.

In conjunction with this conference, a Doctoral Collegium for students of marketing held the same week at the same place.

In light of the current market conditions and with a focus on a better future the main topic of the conference was „The Day After“ – Inspiration, Innovation, Implementation. The current climate and environmental changes, social and cultural diversity, and the financial and economic crisis are all reshaping the market.
