            "content_html": "<p>[quote_box_center]Rob Davidson, Managing Director, MICE Knowledge and ibtm world Industry Analyst has revealed some key industry themes ahead of his Trends Watch report session, which will be delivered as part of the ibtm world knowledge programme (<a href=\"http://www.ibtmworld.com/knowledge\" target=\"_blank\">www.ibtmworld.com/knowledge</a>).[/quote_box_center]</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Findings from the full report, which will be presented twice at this year\u2019s show (Tuesday 17th November, 11:30 \u2013 12:30 and Thursday 19th November, 9:00 \u2013 10:00), suggest continued growth and optimism regarding expansion of the meetings and events industry in the year ahead.</p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Davidson identifies that key indicators of the meeting industry\u2019s health, including attendance, budgets, exhibitors, and revenues\u2014continue to remain positive, signalling that the growth trend is set to continue.</h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Commenting on his research, Davidson says, \u201cA number of surveys of meetings industry associations point to ongoing expansion in meetings and events business, with expectations that 2015 will prove to be more prosperous than the previous year.\u201d</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Davidson\u2019s report will also discuss the changing design of meetings and meeting venues. Davidson continues, \u201cIn 2015, we are seeing radical qualitative changes in the ways in which meetings are designed. And forward-looking venues are adapting their offer to meet the evolving demands of new-generation meeting planners and attendees.\u201d</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The impact of the global economy and its uneven recovery across various geographical regions is also set to feature as a key theme in his presentation. Davisdon concludes, \u201cAs the global economy continues to change at an uneven rate, depending upon which world region is under consideration, the outlook for the meetings industry also varies along broad geographical zones.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn the US, where hotel supply is up, with almost 100,000 new rooms added in 2015, demand for meetings continues to grow at up to quadruple the rate of supply. Now, both Hosted Buyers and Exhibitors can select their preferences. Exhibitors can select up to 30 Hosted Buyer Preferences \u2013 buyers they specifically would like to meet at ibtm world- and will also receive pre-scheduled appointments relevant to their business needs, enabling them to benefit from access to a global network of powerful meetings industry buyers.\nExhibitors will have choice of over 4,000 Hosted Buyers who will make more than 78,000 pre-scheduled appointments during the three days of the show.\nApplications at the beginning of August were 88% up on the same time last year and 47% of those qualified so far are new to the show and represent 52 countries across the globe. 72% of the new Hosted Buyers signed up to attend organise more than 5 international events per year.\nExhibitors will also have access to all sessions of the ibtm knowledge programme, as well as the Innovation Zone.\nWant to be a Hosted Buyer at ibtm world? \nIn order to improve the experience of our Hosted Buyers, the look and feel of the HB zone has been enhanced following user testing feedback and follows the portfolio website and registration pages. Buyers will have the opportunity to view and select key knowledge sessions designed to enhance their experience, access additional online visa support documentation and submit travel change requests direct to the travel team (BCDME).\nThere will be two Hosted Buyer lounges on the show floor, one located next to the Knowledge Village (sponsored by Argentina) and the other in Europe close to the Hosted Buyer Management office (sponsorship TBC).
