\u201cCopenhagen is known as a world-class congress destination, providing good infrastructure and the required logistical services for both small and large events. It is a safe and attractive city, home to strong life science and clean tech industries, both being of specific interest to our member associations. Many of us have already successfully staged a congress in Copenhagen or plan to do so in the years to come.\u201d

Some of the important congresses that members of AC Forum have already held or are about to hold in Copenhagen include the\u00a0European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) Offshore 2015, the\u00a0European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2016 Congress, and the\u00a0Congress of European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) 2016. \u00a0

Forum was held at\u00a0Bella Sky Hotel and the\u00a0participants had a chance\u00a0to see what Copenhagen has to offer as a congress destination, including a guided Canal Tour\u00a0of Copenhagen, a food tour and Nordic cuisine tasting at the city\u2019s Market halls and visits to the former brewery Visit Carlsberg, and a tour of Scandinavia\u2019s largest convention center, the\u00a0Bella Center.

The AC Forum is an annually held forum with delegates from associations that organise over 100 conferences and meetings with a total of more than 250,000 delegates annually.

Association buyers are a key element of the hosted buyer prorgamme and we are looking to increase the number of Association Hosted Buyers this year and \u00a0expect to see a significant number of senior association delegates attend the Hosted Buyer Association Programme.

We receive Hosted Buyer applications from all aroud the globe – each is reviewed against strict criteria ensuring that only senior level buyers with budget responsibility are accepted as part of this exclusive programme.

The Hosted Buyer registration process has now opened online at www.eibtm.com/hosted and we would urge anyone who is interested in applying to register now.

2. What is the main purpose of Association programme?\"\"

The programme is designed to provide relevent educational opertunities for everyone involved in the forward planning of associations and their events.

The Association Programme and education content have been specifically engineered to allow senior association delegates to make the most of their time at EIBTM whilst simultaniouly focusing on the strategic organisational benefits derived from running events.

Now in its 10th year, the professional education content will address the key issues encountered by Association planners ensuring maximum return on investment. There are key issues which are relevant to the associations such as membership growth and retention and changing communication channels – these issues will be covered at the Association programme but the main focus will be on equipping the attendees with tools and knowledge to create more effective and more profitable events for their association.

Yes -there will be. Also, new to EIBTM this year -The Future Events Experience feature area will look at how future conferences and meetings will be run and how social technology and services are going to re-shape attendees experiences at events.
