At the beginning of the year, Association and a regional portal for meeting industry Kongresniturizam.com and SEEbtm magazine brought together – for the fifth time in Belgrade – the most prominent representatives in the field of MICE tourism from Serbia and the region. Let’s take a look at this event from the event management perspective.

On the first day of the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, held on 19th February 2015, the event named SEEbtm Party (South East Europe Business Travel & Meetings), which took place at Kalemegdanska terasa, brought together 250 of the most notable representatives in the field of congress and business tourism (hotels, venues, agencies, and companies which are event organizers), in addition to a number of leading representatives of tourists organisations.

Organizing SEEbtm Party is a challenging task every time.

The SEEbtm Party represents a genuine platform for establishing and spreading of regional cooperation in the area of business travel and event management, as well as an opportunity to share experiences, network, and deepen contacts.

Considering the fact that this event is attended by professionals in event management, organising SEEbtm Party is a challenging task every time, since it aims to exceed the always high expectations.

This year, the space in restaurant Kalemegdanska terasa was completely transformed using the technical support provided by Wizard Sounds Lights. Special lights, a large LED screen, and the starry sky on the stage were just some of the details. A giant digital totem 2 metres high was provided by Linford, standing at the entrance and displaying useful information the entire evening in a very original way. Kalemegdanska terasa itself possesses an air of elegance, luxury, and tradition, while the access to the venue looking over the lit-up fort at night creates a special experience for all participants.

The entire restaurant was set up in cocktail style, with pub tables decorated with large bows tied around columns.

The event was sponsored by the renowned destination of Subotica with Palic, or more precisely Congress hotel Galleria in Subotica and the Zvonko Bogdan winery, whose wines were enjoyed by the guests throughout the evening.

The mood was complemented by live music, while the stage was set up in another part of the restaurant, on the glass terrace. The Balkan ekspres band, which performed for the fourth time, again received excellent feedback from the guests and helped make positive impressions.

The ever important entertainment and involving guests in the event was this year reinvented by caricaturists who were drawing caricatures of the interested guests on branded papers, which then they were able to take with them as souvenirs.

At the entrance, branded coloured wristbands were handed out with interesting and funny quotes printed on them, suitable for this type of event.

In addition, there was a branded photo frame set up for taking photos, a blown-up cover of SEEbtm magazine, so anyone who wanted had the chance to feel what it’s like to be on a cover of a magazine.

At one point of the evening, prizes provided by the event’s sponsor were presented to the winners in a raffle draw, alongside the prizes given away by SEEbtm magazine.

When the guests started to leave, before receiving gift bags, they passed the Graffiti Wall at the exit, a board set up for writing their impressions. The guests could opt to write something on the board, leave their signatures, or make a drawing. At the end, the board was filled with positive feedback and closed the entire event in a nice way, speaking for itself.
