Scheduled to open in the autumn of 2011, the new 260-room Le M\u00e9ridien Istanbul Etiler marks the brand’s debut in Turkey.
\nIdeally located in the prestigious area of Etiler, just one kilometer from the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge connecting Europe and Asia, Le M\u00e9ridien Istanbul Etiler will be tailored to both business and leisure travelers. The 32-story hotel will provide a fully integrated contemporary lifestyle experience featuring 206 guest rooms, 26 suites and 28 serviced apartments, a Creative Hub (Le M\u00e9ridien’s new lobby concept), destination bar, signature restaurant and rooftop lounge with stunning views of the city. Le M\u00e9ridien Istanbul Etiler will also offer 1,700 square meters of hi-tech meeting and event space, a spacious wellness area including a gym, spa and both indoor and outdoor pools.
\nStarwood Hotels & Resorts currently operates six hotels throughout Turkey, including three in Istanbul – W Istanbul, Sheraton Istanbul Maslak Hotel and Sheraton Istanbul Atakoy Hotel, Sheraton Ankara Hotel & Convention Centre, Sheraton Voyager Antalya Hotel and Sheraton Cesme Hotel Resort and Spa. We will strive for the conference to offer an exciting scientific programme, composed of a well-balanced mix of plenary lectures as well as abstract-driven sessions presenting latest original research in the field of HIV medicine.
\nThe conference also provides the opportunity to highlight any issues particularly relevant to the HIV epidemic in Serbia and the larger South-Eastern European region.
\nOne of the important goals of the EACS in organising this biannual\u00a0European Conference is to promote an interest in HIV clinical research amongst young researchers/clinicians from across Europe at an early stage in their career. Therefore, we would particularly like to encourage junior researchers to submit results from their scientific work to the conference and also use it as a venue for networking with colleagues in the field.
